Qinghai University Gymnasium encountered rain and snow in winter, coupled with low temperature and difficult to melt the snow on the roof, even the snow that melted during the day would form ice at the bottom of the snow at night, eventually causing the gutter and drainage pipes to be blocked by ice and snow. It will also cause certain security risks.

     Therefore, the roof snow melting project of the gymnasium of the school chose to use Youyu heating cables to lay along the roof drains, downspouts and other parts that are prone to accumulation of water and ice. The heating cable makes the ice and snow water melted on the roof stay in the gutter or the downspout, so as to ensure that the roof is not damaged by freezing, and the drainage channel is always kept unobstructed and free from freezing.
                                                                                                                                 
     The heating cable is composed of copper-nickel alloy wire conductor, XLPE insulating layer, grounding wire, aluminum foil shielding layer, and PVC outer sheath. It uses electricity as energy and uses alloy resistance wire to energize and heat to achieve the effect of melting snow and ice. At present, heating cables have been widely used in indoor heating, soil heating, melting snow and ice, animal husbandry, tunnel fire protection, etc.
